The Enterprise Systems team has confirmed that the patch to resolve the external links error occurring in the portal for end users away from the Pullman campus network has successfully resolved the issue in our portal test environment. We have worked with Oracle to schedule the installation of the patch into our production portal and will need to have two maintenance windows to complete the work this weekend.
The first maintenance window will be on the Campus Solutions prod environment to replace and upgrade 2 virtual servers running that system. This work will begin at 7 PM Friday evening and last for 6 hours. During this time, access to the portal may be available but end users may get unexpected results and find that not all pages are available.
The second maintenance will be on the zzusis (myWSU) portal production environment and this work will begin at 4 PM Saturday afternoon June 13th and last for 14 hours. The work will be completed around 6 AM Sunday June 14th, at which time, the Enterprise Systems tech team will finalize the upgrade and bring the portal back online to restore access to the zzusis portal sometime between 6 and 7 am Sunday morning.
During these maintenance windows, the zzusis login page might be available and you might be able to log into zzusis, but you may find that not all pages and functions will be active.
Virtual Server Upgrade - Campus Solutions
Friday June 12th beginning at 7 pm and lasting until 1 am Saturday June 13th
Oracle Managed Cloud Services will upgrade two virtual servers running our campus solutions environment from 7 pm Friday June 12th to 1 am on Saturday June 13th. During this maintenance window, access to the zzusis portal may be available but not all pages will display or users may get unexpected results. All zzusis access will be back to normal upon completion of the work around 1 am.
PeopleTools Patch to fix errors – zzusis (myWSU) Portal
Saturday June 13th beginning at 4 pm and lasting until 6 am on Sunday, June 14th
Oracle Managed Cloud Services will be upgrading the zzusis (MyWSU) Portal to fix the external links errors end users are experiencing when connecting to zzusis from locations away from the Pullman Campus network. This maintenance will begin at 4:00pm Saturday, June 13th and last until 6 am on Sunday, June 14th. During this maintenance window, access to the portal will not be available and if users are able to log into zzusis, not all pages will display or users may get unexpected results. All portal access will be back to normal upon completion of the work Sunday morning.
