Enterprise Systems is working with Oracle Managed Cloud Services to resolve the connection issues end users from locations outside of Pullman are experiencing when they try to access a link listed within the portal.
The issue occurs when an end user located off the Pullman campus logs into the portal and then navigates to and clicks on a link within a pagelet. Clicking on the link will open a new window but the end users are not being directed to the URL of that link but will get a timed out message or just a blank screen. This occurs from within the Faculty Links, Quick Links, Advisor lLinks, Student Links, and Payroll pagelets.
All other access to the zzusis portal is working as expected from all locations. The current issue is impacting any user connecting from off the Pullman campus. The work around would be to navigate to the WSU home page, select the Search link in the top right of the screen and search for the name of the link you were trying to access. Once you get the results, you can use that to access the site from outside of the portal.
Once Oracle updates us on the cause and time frame for getting this issue with these links not working correctly resolved, I will update this list.
