Enterprise Systems, in collaboration with the security team within WSU Information Services, will be posted an acceptable use notification message on the zzusis login page. This message is part of the efforts to educate all end users on the policies that govern their access and utilization of university resources. This message is consistent with the use notification message that will be posted on the login pages used to access other university systems and was drafted by the security team subcommittee and approved by senior leadership. We are planning to migrate this use message to the portal login page at 7 am on Friday April 10th so that it will be available when end users log in that morning.
Enterprise Systems will also be deploying a maintenance message banner that will appear across the top of the zzusis login page to alert end users of planned maintenance on zzusis. This maintenance banner will be customizable and we will use it to inform end users of the maintenance in advance, during the maintenance, and have a message appear stating that the maintenance is completed and all access is back to normal. Below is a screen shot of the Use Notification message and I will be creating a maintenance message for Friday to inform the end users of the new communication system. I will also be communicating this change via WSU Announcements and our zzusis email distribution lists starting tomorrow. We just wanted to give this group an advanced heads up about the change prior to sending out the other communications about the change.
